Tonal Refraction Ensemble

Tonal Refraction is an alternative notation in which color expresses the taste factor missing from standard notation.
Teenagers and adult amateurs are more likely to let taste affect their playing one tone at a time - quite the opposite of interpretation. Listening to them in chamber music classes at Mannes I heard it at play: I learned how chamber music actually works.
Tonal Refraction enables professionals to play that way: that is our goal.
