Going by Appearances

Animated conversation yesterday with two young people whom I scarcely know over coffee at the Cathedral, about barriers: race, religion, professional, amateur. Fully informed, each of us in a deeply personal way, out of personal experience. It is already outstanding that converging within that large room in order to talk together was initiated by a young person to whom I had introduced myself a couple of weeks ago. That is already an outstanding barrier crossing: young guys talking with an old lady.

Don't go by appearances.

Same with Mozart: It looks so easy.
