Easy? Peasy!

Last night a splendid gathering of amateurs amusedly trying to navigate the literally amazing maze of what I had erroneously introduced as an easy trio by the one and only C.P.E. Bach. The last time I had even thought about it having been many years ago, I have, in the meantime, devoted much time to the study of his keyboard works. So now it was an entirely different experience: each movement inviting repeated tries to pierce its depth, its humor, its profound engagement with three quite different sounds: flute, clarinet, piano.

And there was an audience, new to the room. Turned out to be a psychologist who specializes in small group dynamics. Wow. So the trio continued into animated conversation rendered unmistakably dynamic by what we had all just been through, totally together, even when not.

Open, I mean open, house every third Saturday. Get in touch whether to play or to listen.

Dear amateurs, I love you! I am myself forever one of you.
